About the film

The curtains close.
The memory stays.

Şehrin Perdeleri traces the history of cinema in Aydın. From the city’s urban history to Yeşilçam, from former picture houses to the projection booth of Efes Cinema, personal recollections bring Aydın’s relationship with the silver screen back into view. The film asks what remains after the cinemas close.
